GRANT AWARD

HARRISBURG – Rep. Joe Kerwin (R-Dauphin) announced today that over $1 million in Local Share Account (LSA) grant funding was allocated to Dauphin County to support a variety of projects aimed at boosting local infrastructure, public safety and community resources.

Several of the approved and funded projects include:

• Mifflin Township: $250,000 to build a new storage structure for its public works department. 
• Lower Paxton Township: $225,000 to make various facility improvements throughout Thomas B. George Park.
• Jefferson Township: $200,000 to buy a new plow truck which will be used to improve snow removal services.
• Dauphin County: $100,000 to make improvements to Detweiler Park in Middle Paxton Township.
• Elizabethville Area Authority: $100,000 to upgrade Elizabethville Borough’s wastewater treatment plant.
• Lykens Borough Authority: $75,000 to install a stream monitoring gauge in the borough.
